Basketball Recap: Rochester Prep Comes Up Short

Rochester Prep lost against Wayne back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Rochester Prep Tigers and the Wayne Eagles didn't end well, with the Rochester Prep Tigers falling 62-43. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Eagles are ranked 47th).

Rochester Prep has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Wayne, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rochester Prep will welcome Rochester Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rochester Prep is facing Rochester Academy at the right time seeing as Rochester Academy is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Wayne, they will host Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Geneva will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Wayne surely won't give up without a fight.
