Softball Game Preview: Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders vs. Morrison Mustangs

The Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Morrison Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Ashton-Franklin Center has struggled recently with 15 defeats in a row, while Morrison will arrive with seven straight wins.

Ashton-Franklin Center might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-2 to Serena, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Morrison got the win against Annawan-Wethersfield on Monday by a conclusive 13-1. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Morrison pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, their loss dropped their record down to 2-24.
