Landon Grisby was his usual excellent self, scoring 41 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Damien Carter was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Golden State Prep still got an impressive performance from Emanuel Rodriguez, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Onyekachi Achinulo, who scored 9 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Golden State Prep were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leadership Public Schools Richmond only racked up 25.
The victory got Leadership Public Schools Richmond back to even at 2-2. As for Golden State Prep, they have yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 4-1 record.
Leadership Public Schools Richmond will head out on the road to face off against Invictus at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Golden State Prep, they will play host again and welcome Wilson Prep, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
