Softball Recap: New London Comes Up Short

New London and Wynford squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but New London had to settle for second. They lost 19-0 to the Royals. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

New London saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailee Pylant, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

New London has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season. As for Wynford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

As of now, neither New London nor the Royals have any future games scheduled.
