After losing to Osage City the last time they met, Wellsville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians on Thursday, sneaking past 5-4. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Austin Strenth was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Wellsville's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Osage City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Wellsville will venture away from home to take on Burlington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Osage City, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Northern Heights at 4:00 p.m.
