Basketball Recap: Simpson Academy Takes a Loss

Simpson Academy entered their matchup against St. Joseph Catholic on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Simpson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simpson Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ben's Ford Christian at 12:15 p.m. on the 29th. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they will be home for the holidays to greet St. Andrew's Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
