Coal Ridge waltzed into their match on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They put the hurt on the Basalt Longhorns with a sharp 14-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Jakson Slade, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Dylan Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Coal Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Basalt only managed five hits.

Coal Ridge pushed their record up to 14-2-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Basalt, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Coal Ridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Longhorns: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
