Volleyball Recap: Coldwater's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Coldwater saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Calvert Senecas. The loss put an end to the Cavaliers' undefeated start to the season.

Their offense was headlined by Ella Werling and Paige Ontrop, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Mia Knapke and her 11 assists. Finally, Mara Riethman kept Coldwater's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Coldwater fell to 2-1. As for Calvert, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Coldwater will take on Shawnee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvert, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Hopewell-Loudon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Senecas their first taste of in-conference action this season.
