Volleyball Recap: Cedar Valley Aviators vs. Wasatch Wasps
After flying high against Taylorsville on Tuesday, Cedar Valley came back down to earth. The Aviators fell 3-1 to the Wasatch Wasps on Thursday. The Aviators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wasps apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Cedar Valley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Wasatch work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 26-24, 19-25, 25-8.
Isabel Levorsen paced Cedar Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Levorsen got some help from Delaney Hall and her 17 assists. Hall also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Liviena Wolfgramm, racking up three apiece.
Cedar Valley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wasatch, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Cedar Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Bonneville on the 22nd. As for Wasatch, they will challenge Uintah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
