Basketball Game Preview: Avondale Yellowjackets vs. Seaholm Maples

The Avondale Yellowjackets will face off against the Seaholm Maples at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Avondale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Avondale will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Clarkston, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Avondale walked away with a 55-48 victory over Clarkston on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Yellowjackets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Wolves are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Seaholm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-50 heartbreaker at the hands of Harper Woods.

Avondale's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Seaholm, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
