Baseball Recap: Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Gets the Win

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton won the last time they faced United South Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 5-1. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Rebels on their field since May 29, 2017.

The team relied heavily on Caleb Quast, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

The win made it two in a row for Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton and bumps their season record up to 8-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for United South Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton will face off against New Ulm Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for United South Central, they will take on Kenyon-Wanamingo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
