Softball Recap: Clark Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Clark lost against Rancho on April 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Chargers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1.

Sophia DeMonbrun spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 16 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Clark saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Reed, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Clark's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7-1. As for Rancho, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Clark is set to take on their familiar foe Cimarron-Memorial at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rancho will face off against rival Durango at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
