Basketball Recap: Anderson Valley Takes a Loss

Anderson Valley was the 47-39 winner over Tomales when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Anderson Valley Panthers lost 57-31 to the Tomales Braves on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tomales' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Cornett, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds. Cornett is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Erick Dominguez was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Anderson Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Tomales, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Anderson Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-18 loss against Kelseyville on the 19th. As for Tomales, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Point Arena at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
