Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hammond). They managed an 81-77 victory over the Mt. Hebron Vikings on Thursday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Golden Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Vikings are ranked 37th).

Hammond's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Mt. Hebron, their loss dropped their record down to 19-3.

Hammond will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mt. Hebron: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
