Soccer Recap: Carthage Comes Up Short

Carthage lost against Henderson back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Carthage Bulldogs fell 2-0 to the Henderson Lions. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 640th, while the Lions are ranked 245th).

Carthage's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Henderson, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Carthage will challenge Pine Tree at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Henderson, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Henderson challenge Sabine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
