Basketball Game Preview: Chazy Eagles vs. Schroon Lake Wildcats

Chazy is 2-8 against Schroon Lake since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Chazy Eagles will challenge the Schroon Lake Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Schroon Lake took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Chazy, who comes in off a win.

If Schroon Lake heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Chazy took over last week. Chazy walked away with a 35-28 win over Lake Placid on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Schroon Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-37 heartbreaker at the hands of Bolton Central.

Chazy's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Schroon Lake, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Chazy strolled past Schroon Lake when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 47-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chazy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
