Basketball Recap: Mayflower Takes a Loss

Mayflower lost against Dover back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mayflower Eagles were outmatched by the Dover Pirates and fell 57-29. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

It was another big night for Logan Young, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds for Dover. The contest was Young's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Kadee Keaster was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine boards.

Mayflower's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Dover, the win keeps them at an undefeated 25-0.

Mayflower has already played their next game, a 54-49 defeat against Baptist Prep on the 4th. As for Dover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-17 victory against Harmony Grove on the 4th.
