Portola waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Plumas Charter Warriors a 17-0 shutout. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Clara Klemesrud and Kyra Carlson made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Klemesrud tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Carlson kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. At bat, Klemesrud went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Carlson scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Portola let Ainsleigh Pruitt and Chloe Williamson run wild. Pruitt scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Williamson went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Pruitt has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhiannon Wallace, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Portola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Plumas Charter only posted an OBP of .350.

Portola picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 10-5-1. As for Plumas Charter, they dropped their record down to 2-11-1 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Portola will venture away from home to take on Hamilton at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plumas Charter, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burney at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st.
