Recap: Westville Blackhawks vs. Tri-Township Tigers
The Westville Blackhawks's game on Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They claimed a resounding 73-34 victory over Tri-Township at home. With that victory, Westville brought their scoring average up to 59 points per game.
Westville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaden Pepper led the charge by scoring 18 points along with 7 rebounds. Gavin Hannon was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 assists and 6 steals.
Despite the loss, Tri-Township still got an impressive performance from Dillon Stewart, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The win got Westville back to even at 1-1. As for Tri-Township, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westville will take on Calumet Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Calumet Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. As for Tri-Township, they will be playing at home against Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wheeler focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
