Volleyball Recap: Calvary Saints vs. Pawnee Indians
Calvary entered their tilt with Pawnee on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pawnee Indians. The Saints have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.
While Calvary won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20.
Ainsley Johnson paced Calvary's offense, picking up 13 kills. Johnson got some help from
Elesha Levine and her 20 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
Calvary's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Pawnee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-24 record this season.
Calvary wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Routt Catholic on the 28th. Pawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
