After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Flintridge Prep, Alhambra was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Montebello Oilers. The Moors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Oilers, too.

Daniel Gonzalez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Nero Navarro was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Alhambra has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Montebello, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.

Alhambra will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Oilers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
