Northeast has gone 4-0 against Piper recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Northeast Hurricanes will challenge the Piper Bengals at 4:00 p.m. Northeast's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Northeast is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Pembroke Pines Charter on Tuesday. Northeast fell just short of Pembroke Pines Charter by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Jaguars are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Piper hadn't done well against Stranahan recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Piper won by a goal and slipped past Stranahan 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bengals.

Fritz Duclosy and Eric Calderon scored both of Piper's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Piper's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three games. As for Northeast, they now have a losing record at 6-7-2.

Northeast was able to grind out a solid win over Piper in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northeast since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
