Irvington had lost five straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 7-16 to make it six. They came up short against the Newark Memorial Cougars, falling 6-0. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
