Softball Recap: Bethel Christian Falls Short of Cathedral City in the Playoffs

Bethel Christian and Cathedral City squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Bethel Christian had to settle for second. They lost 15-6 to the Lions.

Bethel Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaila Ellison, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Bethel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Cathedral City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season.

Bethel Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cathedral City, they will head out on the road to square off against Orange at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
