Basketball Game Preview: Omaha Eagles vs. Lead Hill Tigers

The Omaha Eagles will head out to take on the Lead Hill Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Omaha has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with eight straight losses, while Lead Hill will come in with five straight wins.

Omaha came up short against Kingston on Friday, falling 70-50.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lead Hill). They blew past Founders Classical Academy 93-48 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-26.

Omaha better keep an eye on Noah Royce. He was instrumental in Lead Hill's win, going 9 of 15 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points along with six steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Royce a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Baker, who went 8 for 10 on his way to 19 points and three blocks.

Lead Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 33 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 22 assists in four consecutive matchups.

Omaha's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Lead Hill, their record is now 21-12.

Omaha was dealt a bruising 84-56 loss at the hands of Lead Hill in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Omaha avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
