Football Recap: Bradford Falls to Port Allegany in First Game of Season

Bradford unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Port Allegany Gators on Friday, falling 70-33. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Owls of the 30-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2020.

Bradford's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bentley Evans, who rushed for 45 yards and two scores, and Logan Kohler, who rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Kohler got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 65 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradford will take on Otto-Eldred/Oswayo Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Port Allegany, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Moniteau at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
