Softball Preview: Trinity Christian Lions vs. LaGrange Grangers
The Trinity Christian Lions will head out on the road to face off against the LaGrange Grangers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Trinity Christian will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Fayette County on Tuesday. Trinity Christian's pitchers stepped up to hand Fayette County a 10-0 shutout.
Cacie Cutright and Kaylee Croft were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Cutright didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Croft tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cutright has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Meanwhile, LaGrange made easy work of Upson-Lee on Tuesday and carried off an 11-1 win.
Trinity Christian's record is now 8-6. As for LaGrange, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.
