Archbishop McCarthy entered their tilt with Calvary Christian Academy on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Archbishop McCarthy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 30-28.

Brianna Masaracchio paced Archbishop McCarthy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Masaracchio got some help from Carabella Coletti and her 11 assists. Masaracchio was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Archbishop McCarthy's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Coming up, Archbishop McCarthy will venture away from home to take on Coral Springs Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Saint Andrew's on the 29th.
