Softball Recap: Lapel Bulldogs vs. Knightstown Panthers

Lapel had won six straight at home, but on Thursday they bumped their record up to 11-2 to make it seven. Everything went their way against the Knightstown Panthers as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Karlie Jannings was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Jannings was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Delaney Balser was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paige Stires, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
