Oakland dropped their record down to 17-4-2 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-2 to the Orange Beach Makos. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Patriots, who until this matchup were averaging 2.74 runs allowed.

Oakland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taylor Minnick, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

As for Orange Beach, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 34-2. Considering they have won 25 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On Orange Beach's side, they got a great performance from MK McMullan as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Teagan Revette was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Taylor Poland, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Looking ahead, Oakland will take on Siegel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange Beach, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-1 win against Hoover on the 19th.
