Warde and Stamford are an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Black Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Warde had to suffer through a 52-14 loss at the hands of Danbury. The loss was the Mustangs' first of the season.

Despite the defeat, Warde had strong showings from Andrew Shelov, who picked up 214 receiving yards and two TDs, and James Dellavolpe, who threw for 273 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Shelov really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards.

Meanwhile, Stamford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 28-15 to McMahon. On the bright side, the 15- point effort marked the Black Knights' highest-scoring contest to date.

Having lost for the first time this season, Warde fell to 3-1. As for Stamford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Warde came up short against Stamford when the teams last played back in November of 2020, falling 55-44. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
