Volleyball Recap: Coachella Valley Takes a Loss

Coachella Valley lost against Indio back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mighty Arabs fell just short of the Rajahs by a score of 3-2. While the Mighty Arabs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rajahs 25-20 in the first set.

Coachella Valley took Indio into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-16, 25-15, 22-25, 15-11.

Among those leading the charge was Dmarcus Davila, who had 26 digs. Those 26 digs gave him a new career-high. Diego Ramos also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Coachella Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Indio, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Coachella Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Xavier Prep on the 3rd. Indio has also already played their next game (against Cathedral City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
