Volleyball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clermont Northeastern Rockets. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Bently Burns paced Eastern's offense, picking up nine kills. Burns got some help from Josey Davis and her 20 assists. Breeanna Jimison controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Clermont Northeastern, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Eastern will venture away from home to square off against Fairfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clermont Northeastern, they will face off against Blanchester at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
