Volleyball Recap: Avenal Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Avenal Buccaneers came up short against the Frazier Mountain Falcons on Monday and fell 3-1. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Avenal started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-23.

Carolina Olvera paced Avenal's offense, picking up nine kills. Olvera really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 21. Guadalupe Santillan controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Avenal's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Frazier Mountain, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Avenal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Orosi on the 27th. As for Frazier Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against North on the 26th.
