Queen Creek benefitted from Chavez in 17-0 win
While Thursday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Aubrey Chavez. She was dynamite on Thursday, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also only allowed one walk).
Chavez and Queen Creek will head out on the road to square off against Desert Vista at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Chavez has dominated as far as hits are concerned (she's averaged 1 per game this season), but she's got her work cut out for her considering Desert Vista has only allowed 6.44 per game this season.
