Baseball Recap: Jackson Heights Comes Up Short

Jackson Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jefferson County North Chargers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cobras have suffered since April 1, 2024.

Jackson Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Jefferson County North, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16-3.

While Jackson Heights had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
