Softball Recap: Hawthorne Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Hawthorne's offense. They came up short against the Bronson Eagles on Thursday, falling 16-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Hornets were not able to get on the board.

Hawthorne's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bronson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Hawthorne and Bradford will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 7:00 p.m. on March 27th. As for Bronson, they will host Dixie County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dixie County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.38 runs per game on average), something Bronson will no doubt try to take advantage of.
