Recap: Waldron Mohawks vs. Southwestern Spartans
The Waldron Mohawks had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Southwestern by a score of 58-46 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Waldron, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Waldron was led to victory by Lucas Shaw and Keith Settles. Shaw scored 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds, while Settles scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Settles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Lindsey, who scored four points.
Waldron's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Southwestern, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.
