Soccer Game Preview: South Grand Prairie vs. Forney

The South Grand Prairie Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Forney Jackrabbits at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

South Grand Prairie's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They blew past Mansfield Summit 6-0. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Forney had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Stallions as they made off with an 8-0 win. The contest marked the Jackrabbits' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Forney's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for South Grand Prairie, they now have a winning record of 1-0-1.
