Soccer Recap: Pasquotank County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hertford County last Wednesday, Pasquotank County came back down to earth. The Panthers came up short against the Holmes Aces on Monday, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Holmes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in March.

Pasquotank County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Holmes, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pasquotank County will square off against rival Manteo at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Holmes is set to face off against their familiar foe Currituck County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
