Football Recap: Lowell Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Lowell's offense. They took a blow against the El Cerrito Gauchos on Saturday, falling 62-0. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 793rd, while the Gauchos are ranked 100th).

Lowell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for El Cerrito, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lowell will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Vincent de Paul at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for El Cerrito, they are taking a road trip to take on Vacaville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
