Soccer Game Preview: Bruton vs. Grafton

Bruton hasn't had much luck against Grafton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Panthers will head out to challenge the Clippers at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

On Wednesday, Bruton got the win against Southampton by a conclusive 9-1. With Bruton ahead 6-1 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting Southampton from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Nathan Guerreiro led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grafton). They never let Poquoson get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. Grafton haven't had any issues with Poquoson recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The win made it two in a row for Bruton and bumps their season record up to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those two games. As for Grafton, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.
