Baseball Game Preview: John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers vs. Leeds Greenwave

For the second straight game, John Carroll Catholic will face off against Leeds. The Cavaliers will challenge the Greenwave at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. John Carroll Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, John Carroll Catholic earned an 8-5 win over Leeds.

For Leeds' part, Joseph Bryant was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off seven hits.

At the plate, Conner Nelson and Ty Bedell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Nelson went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI, while Bedell scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Leeds' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 19-10. As for John Carroll Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 16-12.
