Basketball Game Preview: St. Thomas Catholic Eagles vs. St. John's Mavericks

With that strong performance, Schoppa is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Kirkpatrick, who went 7-for-16 on his way to 16 points.

Meanwhile, St. John's came up short against Second Baptist on Saturday and fell 88-80. The Mavericks haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. John's fell to 2-1. As for St. Thomas Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

St. Thomas Catholic couldn't quite get it done against St. John's when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as they fell 77-69.
