Basketball Recap: Salina Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Salina Wildcats came up short against the Fairland Owls and fell 45-32. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Owls are ranked 106th).

Salina's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Fairland, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salina will challenge Sequoyah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairland, they will face off against Colcord at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairland's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Colcord's offense will have their work cut out for them.
