Eight opponents in 2015-16 failed to get to 35 and two couldn't even muster 20.

The Eagles opened this season Nov. 12 with a 51-40 win over perennial contender Shiloh (Snellville).

How are the Eagles doing it?

A whole lot of size and length.

Greenforest returns four players 6-foot-8 or taller: Ikey Obiagu (7-0, Sr., C), Abayomi Iyiola (6-10, Sr., F/C), Mohammed Abdulsalem (6-9, Jr., F/C) and Victor Enoh (6-8, Sr., F).

That foursome combined to swat nearly 10 shots per game last season, led by Top 50 prospect Obiagu at 6.8 blocked shots per contest.

Baylor, Florida State and Maryland are among the teams in the mix for Obiagu while Enoh is committed to Memphis. Abdulsalem and Iyiola also have Division I offers.

Thompson's group will look to put an exclamation mark on a three-year run that includes back-to-back state championship game appearances and a 57-4 record.

The non-league schedule is brutal with five games against preseason nationally-ranked teams and perhaps a couple more at the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions in Missouri.
