The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Hoover nor Boardman made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Spartans 7-6. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Hoover's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Boardman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoover will welcome Twinsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boardman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverside at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
