Soccer Recap: Norton Science & Language Academy Starts Season with Win Against Lucerne Valley

Norton Science & Language Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Lucerne Valley Mustangs by a score of 4-2. Both teams had to tread carefully at times as the refs weren't afraid to hand out yellow cards: Raymond Valdez was handed one for Norton Science & Language Academy, while Lucerne Valley got theirs courtesy of Miguel Larios.

Norton Science & Language Academy hit Lucerne Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Valdez (2), Alan Monrreal, and Victor Morfin.

Coming up, Norton Science & Language Academy will take on Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lucerne Valley, they will challenge Yucca Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
