Baseball Recap: Thales Academy Apex Comes Up Short

After flying high against Neuse Christian Academy last Friday, Thales Academy Apex came back down to earth. The Titans lost 14-3 to the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights on Monday. The Titans have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Thales Academy Apex saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Holden Wilcenski, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Thales Academy Apex's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Coming up, Thales Academy Apex will take on St. Thomas More Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chancellors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.2 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
