Softball Recap: Medina Valley Extends Winning Streak to Four

Medina Valley entered their tilt with United South on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over United South.

Alyssa Montez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Kynlee Crisp was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Avery Nash also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Medina Valley's record now sits at 10-6. As for United South, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-10-1.

Medina Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-2 win against Del Rio on the 18th. As for United South, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-1 loss against Eagle Pass on the 19th.
